FORREST TUTORING
Master Maths & Physics

About Me.
Hello, I’m Lewis! I’m currently studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Sheffield, where I will graduate with my Master's Degree in summer this year. Instead of entering the engineering world, I decided to take a leap of faith and build my tutoring business full time, where I will teach Maths, Physics and Design & Technology. This is due to the incredibly rewarding experience it has provided me over the past year, where I have delivered KS3, GCSE and A-Level students to results that have exceeded their predicted grades.
I hope to spread my love for Maths and Physics by turning complex problems into fun puzzles, allowing students to thrive and achieve their goals. We all know how stressful exams can be, which is why I focus on creating a supportive environment, building a mindset for problem-solving as well as getting you through the exam. Whether you are struggling with a specific concept or pushing for that top grade, I tailor my lessons to your specific learning style.

Detailed Lesson Tracking
Sessions are tracked after every lesson using the example table below. This allows the student to refamiliarise with past content, and the parent to see what they are getting up to!
A Proven Lesson Structure
A typical lesson would involve a proven working structure for me and previous students, focusing on the student's knowledge gaps and past-paper example questions. They are likely to be structured in the following way:

Warm-up: A quick refresh on past topics to build confidence (5m)
The Concept: A clear explanation of today’s topic (20m)
Walkthrough: I guide you through worked examples (10m)
Practice: You tackle exam-style questions of increasing difficulty with my support (25m)
